Protea Hotel Marine
The Protea Hotel Marine in Port Elizabeth is a four star facility located in Summerstrand, within walking distance of the beaches and the promenade. The hotel is within 10 minutes drive from the Port Elizabeth Airport (PLZ). It is only 5.2 km from the centre of town with many of the main attractions nearby. Attractions include: Hobie Beach, Summerstrand Beach and Humewood Beach. Furthermore there are the Bayworld Museum, the Dolphinarium with a dolphin performances and the Snake Park. The Addo National Elephant Park is less than an hour's drive from Port Elizabeth.
Both the sea facing and standard rooms overlook the ocean or beach. The sea facing rooms have queen or twin beds, and the standard rooms offer king or two single beds. They all have en-suite bathrooms with complimentary toiletries, cable television and WiFi internet (at surcharge), coffee/tea maker and a safe.

Eastern Cape
The Eastern Cape has an extremely beautiful ±820 km coastline with long stretches of deserted sandy beaches interspersed with rocky and sandy cliffs. Huge shifting dune fields are found in some areas and vegetated dune fields in others. It is a diverse Province with natural scenery ranging from barren semi-desert Karoo landscapes to rain forest covered mountain ranges.
Sunshine Coast
The Sunshine Coast in South Africa stretches from the Tsitsikamma Reserve in the South to East London in the North. Aptly named the Sunshine coast, because it boasts more sunshine hours per year than the rest of sunny South Africa. This is due to the warm Mozambique current that runs along this coast and leads to the moderate temperatures.
Port Elizabeth
Port Elizabeth's tourist attractions include eco-attractions, scenic nature trails, historic heritage, magnificent wildlife (close by), cultural experiences and water sport activities. The city's main attraction is it's family friendly beaches, well served by various beachfront hotels and self-catering apartments.
