Africa Deluxe Tours Cape Winelands vineyard

Cape Winelands Afternoon Tour

You will be collected at your Cape Town, Waterfront or Sea Point hotel. Departing from Cape Town you head north to Stellenbosch in the heart of the Cape Winelands. Stellenbosch, a picturesque town featuring old Cape-Dutch architecture and oak lined streets, is the second oldest town in modern South Africa after Cape Town.

Your itinerary includes a tour of the town, which is also home to Stellenbosch University and is very much a student town. At a Stellenbosch region wine estate you’ll be taken on a cellar tour, during which the winemaking process - harvesting of the grapes, fermentation, etc. - will be explained to you. Afterwards a guided wine tasting, of a couple of the particular estate’s different cultivars, awaits. You’ll have the option to buy a bottle or two or have a crate of wine shipped home.
