Pilanesberg Full Day Tour
This full day tour will take you by road from Johannesburg to the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The Reserve is situated in an ancient, extinct volcano. It is one of the largest extinct volcano sites in the world. Pilanesberg also contains stone-age archaeological sites. The reserve was opened in 1980.
On arrival in Pilanesberg you enjoy brunch (for your own account), whereafter you board an open safari vehicle for a 2.5-hour game drive. You'll get to see much of the great variety of animals and birds to be found in the Reserve. Among the many kinds of antelope and other smaller animals, Pilanesberg Game Reserve is also home to all of the species in the so-called "Big Five" (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino).
On completion of your open-vehicle safari you'll have an opportunity to refresh before boarding your air-conditioned luxury touring vehicle to continue exploring the Reserve. You return to Johannesburg in the late-afternoon.
