Africa Deluxe Tours Two Oceans Aquarium

Victoria and Alfred (V&A) Waterfront

The Victoria and Alfred (V&A) Waterfront is the genuine article. It was developed in a working harbour of Cape Town and perfectly integrates port activities and leisure. It offers a fascinating and eclectic mix of specialty shops, markets, restaurants, bars, museums, cinemas and activities. It is quite possible to spend several days at The Waterfront and still not see all there is on offer.

Although there are many attractions more than worthwhile, visiting one of our favourites is the Two Oceans Aquarium. It displays South Atlantic fish and other sea life in a variety of tanks including a huge open-ocean tank. For the museum buffs there is the South African Maritime Museum, rich in relics. For the rest there are markets, malls, cabarets, buskers and live bands.

If you are interested in the history of Nelson Mandela and the struggle of black South Africans for equal rights a visit to Robben Island should be high on your agenda. Tours depart from Nelson Mandela Gateway at the Waterfront.
