Sun City and Pilanesberg Full Day Tour
This full day tour will take you by road from Johannesburg to the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The game reserve is situated in a ancient, extinct volcano. It is one of the largest extinct volcano sites in the world. There are also various sites relating to the stone age. After intricate negotiations, operation Genesis, the reintroduction of animals was started. The reserve was opened in 1980.
You spend some time in search of the great variety of animals and birds to be found in the reserve. Among the many kinds of antelope and other smaller animals, this game reserve is also home to all of the big five (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino).
After your game drive, you depart for the world renowned Sun City Holiday Resort. This popular resort borders Pilanesberg Game Reserve. Sun City boasts 4 luxury hotels, 2 world class golf courses, Waterworld, Animal Farm, Motseng cultural village and much more.
