Protea Hotel Riempie Estate

The Protea Hotel Riempie Estate (3-star) is situated on the outskirts of Oudtshoorn on the road that leads to the Cango Caves and the Cango Ostrich and Butterfly Farm. It is set on a private estate with a farm like feeling.

The hotel consists of a central building, with accommodation in 23 chalets and 23 rondavels, all under thatch. All rooms are en-suite with bath and/or shower, air-conditioning, TV, M-Net and tea and coffee facilities. All rooms have free WiFi facilities.

The units are situated in a children friendly environment, offering a separate playground for little ones.

The Riempie Restaurant serves buffet meals and a Ladies Cocktail Bar is on hand for that cooling-off cocktail or sun-downer.

The Cango Caves are located in the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains, some 28km north of Oudtshoorn in the Klein Karoo near South Africa's popular Garden Route. The Caves, a national monument and one of South Africa's top 20 tourist attractions, feature huge concert-hall sized chambers as well as narrow passages and rooms.
