Africa Deluxe Tours Arts & Crafts at a Mall of Rosebank Market

Rosebank (Johannesburg)

Rosebank is one of Johannesburg’s upmarket "northern suburbs" municipalities. Its best-known neighbour is Sandton. Rosebank is a fashionable and leafy suburb of small corporate office buildings, shopping malls, art galleries, restaurants and coffee shops. It is ±50-minutes’ drive from O.R. Tambo International Airport (ORTIA). It features a Gautrain station, Gautrain being the rapid rail link between Johannesburg, Pretoria and O.R. Tambo International Airport. The Rosebank station is a 4-minute journey from Sandton. At Sandton station passengers heading to the airport have to switch trains, for the 13-minute journey to ORTIA.

The two main shopping centres in the suburb are The Mall of Rosebank and The Zone Shopping Centre. The latter is hip and trendy while the former is more formal and upmarket. The Mall of Rosebank hosts a weekly flea market which is very popular in Johannesburg. Rosebank is home to various fine hotels, ranging from full 5-star to basic 3-star options. It is a great base from which to explore Johannesburg, Soweto, Pretoria and the surrounds. Rosebank is popular as an overnight stay before or after travelling to / from ORTIA.
