San Lameer is a luxury golf estate located on the Hibiscus Coast section of South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal South Coast. The main feature of the estate is its 18-hole championship golf course. It’s an undulating course, in close proximity to the ocean with water features galore. 620 Privately onwed luxury villas are spread out along the course in pockets of indigenous vegetation. It is possible to rent one of these villas, although a two-night minimum stay applies.
Travellers mainly gain access to the estate by booking into the onsite hotel. The 4-star Peermont Mondazur Hotel and Spa is located on the banks of the Umhlangamkulu Lagoon, which has the feel of a small inland lake, with lush subtropical vegetation surrounding it.
The exclusive estate also provides access to two Blue Flag beaches. Blue Flag beaches are accredited on strict international guidelines that consider factors such as cleanliness, safety, facilities provided and environmental factors.
The small upmarket town of Southbroom is directly north of San Lameer, a leisurely stroll on the beach or a one minute drive by car away from the estate. Other Hibiscus Coast attractions is within easy reach, the most scenic probably being Oribi Gorge - about 50km / 30mi away
